Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

Why Fort Worth Homeowners Trust SWAT

Fort Worth is where SWAT Roofing does more work than anywhere else in Texas. Our headquarters sits minutes north of the city line in Haslet, right off the US 287 and I-35W corridor, which means the north side of Fort Worth is effectively our home turf and the rest of the city is a short dispatch away. When hail crosses Tarrant County, our trucks are already on the right side of the Metroplex.

Roofing Fort Worth means roofing five cities in one. The twelfth largest city in the country spans more than 350 square miles and nearly a million people, and its housing runs from 1920s bungalows in Fairmount and Arlington Heights to production homes framed last year along the Alliance corridor. No single playbook covers that range, and we do not pretend one does.

On the north side, in Summerfields, Park Glen, Heritage, and the subdivisions filling in around Alliance and Eagle Mountain, the story is builder-grade roofs installed street by street in the same year. When hail hits, whole neighborhoods take damage at once, and the difference between a smooth claim and a fight is documentation. These are also the streets we reach fastest, sharing zip codes like 76131 with Blue Mound, two miles from our shop.

On the west side, from Ridglea and Western Hills out toward the White Settlement and Lake Worth borders, roofs carry the scars of the March 2016 hailstorm that caused more than a billion dollars in damage in a single evening. Many were replaced in a hurry by out-of-town crews that year, and a decade later we regularly find the shortcuts: nail lines missed, valleys woven wrong, flashing reused. We fix what the storm chasers left behind.

Everywhere in Fort Worth, the process is the same: a free drone and on-roof inspection, photo documentation of every hail strike and wind crease, a straight answer on repair versus replacement, and one project manager who owns your job and assists you with your insurance claim from the first call to the final check.

We had an excellent experience with SWAT Roofing & Contracting. Jamie Marsh was our service associate, and he helped explain the entire process, making it very easy to work through with them and our insurance company. Their work is exceptional and quick. Jamie remained responsive through the whole process and I am confident with their fairness of their pricing. Highly recommend.

As someone who has never had their roof replaced, I was completely clueless about the process. Jamie Marsh took the time to thoroughly explain the process and was always available to assist with any questions or concerns along the way. As a bit of a special case, having recently changed insurance companies, I expected some push back from my previous insurer. From meeting with their adjuster, to working around my schedule to determine a replacement date, and being on site to ensure the integrity of not just my property but my neighbors as well, I can't thank Jamie and the SWAT roofing team enough for their guidance and professionalism throughout the process.

William Martin of SWAT was fantastic in helping us with our damaged roof. He fully explained how the while process would go and consistently stayed in contact and give us periodic updates all the way up until the day the job was done. The crew who did the work on the roof were very professional and helpful and ensured we were able to come and go safely while they worked. Thanks William for all your hard work!!

SWAT Roofing replaced my roof and gutters, painted the outside of the house and also did some minor repairs inside. They did a great job and my roof looks better than ever. Will Martin, the project manager, did a very good job in scheduling and communicating about all aspects of the project. I can definitely recommend SWAT Roofing.

Shout out to William Martin with SWAT Roofing for helping with the insurance claim, having to work with 2 different insurance adjusters to prove the damage for the roof replacement. William also made sure from beginning to end that the work was completed on time and to the standards that SWAT sets for their work ethics, thank you.

North Texas Hail History

Fort Worth Roofs Take a Beating from North Texas Hail

Fort Worth is the reference city for North Texas hail. The 1995 Mayfest storm dropped stones up to 4.5 inches on a crowded outdoor festival here and remains one of the costliest hailstorms in U.S. history. On March 17, 2016, hail larger than 2.5 inches raked the west side and Benbrook, causing more than a billion dollars in damage in one evening. The May 28, 2024 windstorm pushed near-hurricane gusts across the city and left hundreds of thousands of Tarrant County homes without power, and on June 1, 2025, golf-ball to baseball-size hail crossed the county yet again.

The National Weather Service forecast office for the region sits in Fort Worth and logs several hail-producing storms across Tarrant County in a typical spring. The pattern homeowners miss is that damage compounds quietly: bruised shingle mat, granule loss, creased tabs, and dented vents rarely show from the driveway, then surface as leaks months after the claim window has closed. That is why we inspect Fort Worth roofs free after any significant storm, while the damage is still documented, datable, and claimable.

Fort Worth Roofing • FAQ

Our headquarters is minutes north of the city off US 287 and I-35W, so north Fort Worth calls are often same-day, and after major storms we run dispatch by proximity across the whole city. Tarping and photo documentation come first, before damage spreads.

All of it, with our deepest track record on the north side (Summerfields, Park Glen, Heritage, the Alliance corridor) and the west side (Ridglea, Western Hills, and the White Settlement and Lake Worth borders). If you are inside the city limits, you are in our service area.

We work citywide, with the heaviest concentration in 76131, 76137, 76177, and 76179 on the north side and 76108, 76114, 76116, and 76135 on the west side.

Yes, through the City of Fort Worth’s Development Services department. One wrinkle worth knowing: Fort Worth’s boundaries are irregular, and some addresses that feel like Haslet, Saginaw, or unincorporated county are actually Fort Worth jurisdiction. We confirm jurisdiction and pull the correct permit on every job.

Substantially. Older Fairmount, Fairview, and Arlington Heights homes often have shiplap decking instead of modern sheathing, multiple old shingle layers, and steep, simple gables that deserve period-appropriate materials. We price decking honestly up front, and where a historic overlay or neighborhood guidelines apply, we help with approvals before work starts.

Production builders installed to schedule, and we routinely find under-driven nails, skipped starter strips, and minimal flashing on 2000s-era roofs across the Alliance corridor. Add two decades of Texas hail and those shortcuts become leaks. A free inspection tells you whether yours held up.

Yes. Creased shingles, lifted tabs, and torn ridge caps from straight-line wind are covered perils under most Texas policies, exactly like hail. The May 28, 2024 storm produced near-hurricane gusts across Fort Worth, and we documented and won wind claims across the north side. If your roof has not been inspected since, that window is worth closing.

Most hail damage cannot be seen from the ground. Bruising crushes the fiberglass mat under the granules, and it takes an on-roof look, or our drone photography, to find and document it. We photograph every strike zone, slope by slope, in the format insurance adjusters expect.

From the first photo to the final check, one SWAT project manager runs your claim: we document the damage, file with you, meet your adjuster on the roof to walk the evidence, and handle supplements if the scope grows once decking is exposed. You are never the middleman between your roofer and your carrier.

Fort Worth runs from 1,100 square foot bungalows to 4,000 square foot two-stories, so there is no single honest number. Size, pitch, decking condition, and material set the price, and documented storm damage often reduces your cost to the deductible. We publish typical DFW pricing by material in our roof replacement cost guide, and every quote we give is a written, line-item price after a free inspection.

Yes. When a roof ages out without a storm to pay for it, we offer financing through third-party finance companies such as GreenSky & GoodLeap: $0-down options, fixed rates, and no prepayment penalties, with pre-qualification in minutes. Full details are on our financing page.

Yes. SWAT Roofing is RCAT licensed and fully insured in Texas, holds the Atlas Pro+ Diamond designation earned by the top 2 percent of roofers in the country, and backs every installation with a best-in-class 10-year workmanship warranty.
