Why Saginaw Homeowners Trust SWAT

Saginaw is one of our original service areas and one of our closest. From our Haslet shop, the drive down FM 156 into Saginaw takes just a few minutes, which is why storm calls here land near the top of our dispatch list instead of behind a two-county backlog.

The city itself is a rare mix. Its train and grain heritage still defines the skyline, with elevators visible for miles and BNSF and Union Pacific lines running straight through town, but the Saginaw most people live in was built as a suburb. The city incorporated in 1949 with a few hundred residents and grew to nearly 24,000, which means its housing stock rolls forward in waves: 1970s and 80s ranches near the old core, 1990s subdivisions, and 2000s-era streets pushing toward Eagle Mountain. Each wave carries its own roof problems, from second-layer shingles and brittle three-tabs on older streets to hail-bruised architectural shingles on newer ones.

Wind is the other Saginaw signature. Storms tracking across Eagle Mountain Lake hit the west side of town with little in their way. We document wind creasing and lifted shingles as carefully as hail strikes, because both are claimable damage and both leak if ignored.

We had an excellent experience with SWAT Roofing & Contracting. Jamie Marsh was our service associate, and he helped explain the entire process, making it very easy to work through with them and our insurance company. Their work is exceptional and quick. Jamie remained responsive through the whole process and I am confident with their fairness of their pricing. Highly recommend.

As someone who has never had their roof replaced, I was completely clueless about the process. Jamie Marsh took the time to thoroughly explain the process and was always available to assist with any questions or concerns along the way. As a bit of a special case, having recently changed insurance companies, I expected some push back from my previous insurer. From meeting with their adjuster, to working around my schedule to determine a replacement date, and being on site to ensure the integrity of not just my property but my neighbors as well, I can't thank Jamie and the SWAT roofing team enough for their guidance and professionalism throughout the process.

William Martin of SWAT was fantastic in helping us with our damaged roof. He fully explained how the while process would go and consistently stayed in contact and give us periodic updates all the way up until the day the job was done. The crew who did the work on the roof were very professional and helpful and ensured we were able to come and go safely while they worked. Thanks William for all your hard work!!

SWAT Roofing replaced my roof and gutters, painted the outside of the house and also did some minor repairs inside. They did a great job and my roof looks better than ever. Will Martin, the project manager, did a very good job in scheduling and communicating about all aspects of the project. I can definitely recommend SWAT Roofing.

Shout out to William Martin with SWAT Roofing for helping with the insurance claim, having to work with 2 different insurance adjusters to prove the damage for the roof replacement. William also made sure from beginning to end that the work was completed on time and to the standards that SWAT sets for their work ethics, thank you.

A very professional yet personal experience. William explained all options clearly and helped tremendously with insurance company and scheduling the project quickly and efficiently. He was present when the adjuster came by to answer any questions and make sure the process went smoothly. Their team showed up on time early in the morning and worked steadily all thru the day to be able to complete the job in one day. The attention to detail and willingness to solve any unexpected problems made working with them a real pleasure. Their warranty is amazing. Very pleased with the finished product.

North Texas Hail History

Saginaw Roofs Take a Beating from North Texas Hail

Saginaw’s storm record is not hypothetical. In May 2019, the National Weather Service confirmed an EF-0 tornado with 80 mph winds tracking across the north side of the city, pulling brick from a home near the Villages of Eagle Mountain area and damaging signs along North Saginaw Boulevard. The May 28, 2024 windstorm pushed damaging gusts across northern Tarrant County again, and the June 1, 2025 hailstorm dropped golf-ball to baseball-size stones across the county, part of a record that includes the 1995 Mayfest storm and the billion-dollar March 2016 hail event on Fort Worth’s west side.

The NWS Fort Worth office counts several hail-producing storms across Tarrant County in a normal spring. What that means for a Saginaw roof: even if the last storm did not leave shingles in your yard, it may have left bruised mat, creased tabs, and dented vents that fail quietly over the next year. A free post-storm inspection catches that damage while your carrier still recognizes it as a claim.

Saginaw Roofing • FAQ

Usually the same day. We are headquartered minutes north in Haslet, and Saginaw sits inside our first-response ring for tarping and documentation.

76179 covers nearly all of Saginaw, and we also work the 76131 edges shared with Blue Mound and north Fort Worth, plus 76052 in Haslet.

The City of Saginaw handles its own permitting through the city offices on West McLeroy Boulevard. We pull and manage the permit as part of every replacement.

Depends on what is under the surface. Many 1980s and 90s Saginaw roofs are past their shingle life or carrying a second layer, and Texas hail rarely leaves them alone. We photograph everything and give you the honest call: if a repair buys years, we say so; if the mat is done, we show you why.

Yes. The NWS confirmed an EF-0 with 80 mph winds across the north side of the city in May 2019. Wind damage like creased and lifted shingles is claimable just like hail, and it is one of the things we specifically document.

You usually cannot tell from the ground. Our free inspection uses drone and on-roof photography to find bruising, granule loss, and fractured mat, documented the way insurance carriers require.

Every day. One project manager documents your damage, meets the adjuster on the roof, and helps you with your carrier from first call to final payment.

Roof size, pitch, decking condition, and material all move the number, so we quote after a free inspection rather than over the phone. If storm damage is documented, insurance often covers replacement minus your deductible. Typical DFW pricing lives in our roof replacement cost guide.

Yes. Retail replacements can be financed through third-party finance companies such as GreenSky & GoodLeap, with $0-down options, fixed rates, and no prepayment penalties. See the financing page or ask your project manager.

Fully licensed with the RCAT and insured in Texas, with manufacturer-certified installers, an Atlas Pro+ Diamond designation held by the top 2 percent of U.S. roofers, and a best-in-class 10-year workmanship warranty.
